The book summarizes information about the most famous Western intelligence services of the world from the moment they are created to the present day; It is told about the famous spies of the long-standing past and outstanding scouts of the 20th century; The methods of work used by the USSR (or recruited on the spot) by agents of Western special services are given. A separate part of the book is devoted to the history of the formation of the CIA: it tells about the reasons that caused the need to create this organization, about its structure and methods of operational work, about the activities of the USSR and modern Russia, the methodology for the selection of candidates for work in this department.

A significant part of the book is devoted to the consideration of the training program for future CIA employees in a special training center, in which potential secret agents during the Cold War studied (and now study) all the intelligence of the scout, and where, among other things, among other things , they took place at that time the following topics:

Of course, the technical means of espionage in the 21st century stepped far forward, but the basic principles related to the psychological aspects of intelligence activities by the warring parties and the relationship of intelligence (which are also mentioned in the book) remained unchanged. And this confrontation did not become the property of history. Therefore, the book will be interesting to the modern reader.
