Metropolis. Kerr F.
1928. Berlin, in which everything is still possible and nothing is prohibited. This is the new Babylon, what is his name by local residents, a city of golden entertainment and street battles between gangs, a city of luxury and poverty. Bernie Gunter, a young detective working in the Berlin police, gives a new business: someone takes scalps from prostitutes every week, deliberately leaving many evidence in the crimes. The killer seems to tease the police, however, they themselves are not too eager to catch him, but everything changes when the daughter of a local criminal authority dies in the same way. Only this is the problems of Bernie, he soon receives another task: to find the one who methodically and coldly straightens out with the homeless and mutilated veterans of the First World War, who are gathering on the streets. Both of these investigations will show Gunther that everything around will soon change a lot, and his Babylon Berlin will numb in the face of a new order.
