The ambitious scientist attracted his comrade to the seemingly harmless experiment to scan the skull of the brother of Tsar Nicholas II, Mikhail, who was killed back in 1918. But the experiment did not go as planned, and the essence of our contemporaries ended up in the bodies of Grand Duke Michael and his secretary.

And the times are difficult - the First World War is going on and, as the heroes know, the cataclysms caused by two will soon begin revolutions. They also know that the Bolsheviks who came to power in 1917 eliminate not only the family of Nicholas II, but also Mikhail with his secretary.
