The textbook is a processed and updated edition of the Textbook "Microbiology" edited by academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences V.V. Zvereva and Professor M.N. Boychenko, published by the Gerotar-Media publishing house in 2012, the material of the second edition was significantly redesigned according to the current trends of science and taking into account new epidemic challenges. The textbook consists of 16 chapters, in which the issues of general and private microbiology, virology and immunology are considered. Particular attention is paid to issues of microbiota of drug raw materials and the microbiological requirements for drugs and ensuring their quality. Theoretical information is illustrated by drawings, diagrams, tables. At the end of each chapter, questions are given for self -training. The textbook complies with the officially approved teaching program and the new educational standard in the specialty 33.05.01 "Pharmacy".
