Book K.R. Kobrin “The Middle Ages: Essays on the Borders, Identity and Reflection”, opens a small series in medievalism (Series minor). The book is dedicated to several related topics: new approaches to political history, the formation of regional identity in the Middle Ages (and the place in this process of political mythology), as well as the history of media in the 20th century in the political and cultural context of our time. The author analyzes the political and mythological plots from the medieval Welsh epic "Mabinogion", the works of Galfrid of Monmutsky. Particular attention is paid to the life and works of the famous medieval author, the church and statesman of Herald of Cambrian (1146-1223). Along with a detailed study of the Welsh Medieval Material, the author also explores the fate of the media in the XX century. - on the example of the works of M. Blok, E. Kantorovich and O.G. Exle.
