The collection includes three works by Fedor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky: his first published novel “Poor People”, a novel “Double” conceived by the novel “Harmered and Offended” conceived after many years of exile.

In these works, the influence of the “natural school” with realistic descriptions of the social bottom and the characters - the bearers of great ideas. Dostoevsky writes a fundamentally new prose for his time, the influence of Western realism is traced in his early works, important social problems, helplessness before the blows of fate and acute psychologism come to the forefront.
