Military doctrine of the Red Army. Frunze M.V.

During the Civil War, Mikhail Vasilievich Frunze commanded the eastern and southern red fronts, defeated the white armies of Kolchak and Wrangel, occupied Crimea, headed the Soviet armed forces in Ukraine. After the war, Frunze was appointed chief of the General Staff of the Red Army and the Military Academy of the Red Army, then - the chairman of the Revolutionary Military Council of the USSR and the People’s Commissar for Military and Marine Affairs.

The most significant works of M.V. were collected in this book Frunze dedicated to the Red Army. They not only show the experience of the Civil War, but also examples of the actions of the armies of Germany, France, England in the late XIX - early XX centuries. On the basis of all this, Frunze creates the doctrine of the Red Army, into which the concepts of “large” and “small” (local) wars, about their features, about the strategy and tactics of the army during various military conflicts. A special place is given to the organization of the Red Army, its technical equipment, ways of maintaining discipline and high military spirit in it.
