The book justifies the idea of ​​a social fracture in modern Russia caused by a change in generations. A sociological approach to the analysis of generations is developing, their original classification is built. A special trick is made on the generation of millennials that entered during growing up in the 2000s. For a comparative analysis of generations, the data of Russian monitoring of the economic situation and health of the population of the Higher School of Economics (1994-2018) are used.

Stable significant intercoral differences in the planning of the family, the use of digital technologies, committed a healthy lifestyle, religiosity, assessing their subjective well -being and other social indicators have been discovered.
