Jean-Batiste Poklen (1622–1673) is known to the world as the illustrious playwright and actor Moliere. On the stage of the Royal Theater in Paris in 1666, he plays the protagonist of his own comedy - Alcesta. Alzest is the same misanthrope, he is disgusting to the lies and the hydraulicity of higher society, he refuses to participate in eternal gossip and intrigues. But what about him to be with his beloved Selimen, a coquet and an important social lady? Tormented by a discord, the hero quarrels with everyone, trying to change Selimen, calls on her refusing high society.
