The activities of the MITKI group are from the most important phenomena not only of the Leningrad, but also of the last quarter of the 20th century in general Russian culture. In the book of Aleksandar Mikhailovich, it is investigated in a wide interdisciplinary context using modern analytical techniques. The author is a well -known Slavist, a specialist in Russian culture, a professor of literature in Bennington College (USA): his pen belongs to the books “bodily words: discourse of theology in literary criticism of M. Bakhtin” (1997); “Tchaikovsky and its contemporaries” (1999) and others, as well as numerous literary and film articles.
The book about Mitki was written for ten years and was first published in English, the publishing house of the University of Wisconsin (2018).
