Models of equilibrium distribution of traffic flows in large networks. 2nd edition. Gasnikov A.V., Gasnikova E.V.
A textbook is based on a semester course of lectures read to the sixth-year students of physical schools of applied mathematics and computer science for the FUPM MFTI and the fifth year of physical schools of aerospace technologies for the FAKI MIPTs since 2008. The manual is devoted to models of equilibrium distribution of traffic flows along the routes and their multi -stage options.
The first chapter describes the elements of the theory of population loading (potential games) using the example of the tasks of finding an equilibrium distribution of traffic flows. The potentiality of the games in question allows you to reduce the search for equilibrium (Nasha) to optimization tasks. Under very natural conditions, these tasks are convex, and it becomes possible to solve them effectively. Numerical ways to solve such problems are described in the second chapter.
intended for senior students, graduate students and MIF teachers.
