Modern dance in Switzerland. 1960-2010. Davier A., Suke A.
How did a modern dance appear in Switzerland, how did it develop and achieved recognition? Researchers of Ann Davier and Annie Suka talked with representatives of several generations of Swiss dancers, choreographers and spectators, following all the stages of the formation of modern dance - from classical ballet schools to performances of recent decades.
In this book, we find ourselves in Kyasso, Zurich, Geneva, Nevhater, Basel and other Swiss cities, where we get acquainted with different directions of modern dance culture - from classical dance in French Switzerland to Ausdruktanz in German. The modern dance radically changed the conservative Swiss culture of the past, and, apparently, the process of artistic modernization continues to gain momentum.
Ann Davier - art critic, director of the Modern Dance Association (ADC), editor -in -chief of the ADC magazine. Annie Suka is a dance historian, an independent researcher, in the past - a teacher of history and aesthetics of dance at the Geneva elegant art school and the University of Paris VIII.
