Valentina Vasilievna Burtseva is an experienced lexicographer, the author of many dictionaries of the Russian language that help users be competent.

This dictionary contains about 55,000 words and expressions of the modern Russian language. Unlike other spelling dictionaries, the rules for writing all difficult words are given in the dictionary case under the words themselves, which helps the reader not only to find out how the word is written, but also to remember the corresponding rule. The set of all the rules is also placed at the end of the dictionary.

heading words are given in accordance with their normative spelling, equipped with stresses, grammatical forms, and in difficult cases with pronunciation marks. Brief interpretations help to distinguish the same or close in writing, but different in terms of the meaning of the word.
