Molecular physics. Kvasnikov I.A.
The proposed manual on the section “Molecular Physics” of an authoritative specialist in the field of statistical physics of I. A. Kvasnikov corresponds to modern ideas about molecular movement and its macroscopic manifestations. In addition to applied issues, it contains a complete and consistent presentation of the main provisions of molecular physics. It should be noted the methodically correct construction of the entire section and the inclusion of mathematical additions in the issues on the issues with which the reader may not be familiar for various reasons or is not sufficiently prepared. A distinctive feature of this manual is also the fact that a significant place in it (more than 40% of volume) is devoted to a microscopic theory set forth in the reader accessible to the reader and mainly for perfect gas. In conclusion, a brief review of urgent problems, difficulties and main directions of development of modern molecular physics is given.
The book can serve as a valuable textbook for everyone who seeks to continue their education in the field of physical and mathematical sciences at the university level. It can turn out to be very useful for teachers who can expand it at the expense of the subject at the end of the book, as well as for students of non -physical specialties studying molecular physics in junior courses as part of a general course of physics.
