Monopoly and other unstressed prices. Economic analysis with examples from domestic and foreign practice. Sheinin L.B.
Prices for goods or services in the same market are usually the same for all buyers. However, in some cases, there are not the same, but discriminatory prices. Discriminating (non -controversial) prices should be understood more broadly than one of the categories of monopoly prices, because they are “affordable” to such classes of sellers who are not monopolists. In some cases, unheated prices are useful for both market participants and for society as a whole; In others, they are harmful. Since the state may be a monopolist, the book addresses the issue of state property, the delimitation of taxes and economic payments received in favor of public authorities; The experience of levying payments for scarce and inconsistent natural resources is analyzed. Examples are given from domestic and foreign practice, mainly from the field of water economy.
The book is addressed to entrepreneurs - market participants, economists, financiers, jurists, resource administrators, activists of consumer unions and antimonopoly workers. It can be useful for journalists illuminating pricing issues.
