Mark Tullius Cicero -an outstanding Roman lawyer and statesman, elected by the consul, was proclaimed by the Senate the father of the Fatherland, and the soldiers of the province entrusted to him by the imperator. However, in the memory of the descendants, he remained primarily as a wonderful speaker and a scientist-educator.

The book contains the philosophical treatises of Cicero that did not lose relevance: “On old age”, “On friendship” and “On duties”. The author convincingly proves that true philosophy strengthens friendship, promotes moral improvement, and also fills with new meaning the inevitable hardships of life: old age, pain of loss, loss of loved ones and the expectation of his own death.
