This book is an attempt to see Moscow and Soviet everyday life through the eyes of the famous Russian prose writer of the 20th century Mikhail Bulgakov. For almost two decades of Moscow life, the many -sided city appeared before him in ordinary and official, archaic and self -sized, caricature and tragic images. Not being a Muscovite by birth, Bulgakov became one of the most “Moscow” writers. The images of Moscow of the 1920s and 1930s were embodied in his artistic and journalistic works, diaries and letters, as well as in the memoirs of those who were near him, the judgments of contemporaries. Interested by the biography and work of Bulgakov, the history of Moscow at the beginning of the 20th century; It will be useful for teaching the literature and the school course of Moscow.
In particular, the author pays special attention to the charitable activities of the Khludovs, which is reflected in the support of Moscow educational and scientific institutions, the construction of a clinical town on a girlish field and other endeavors. Moscow addresses related to the Khludov family, a significant place is given in the book. The author provided unique photos from the family archive for this book, as well as documents from the archives of the Czech Republic.
Particular attention in the book is paid to the brightest representative of the Khludov dynasty - Nadezhda Nikolaevna (in the first marriage of apricot, in the second - Kramarzh) - wife Czech politician, first prime minister of independent Czechoslovakia K.P. Kramarzha.
