Moscow saga. Aksyonov V.
Vasily Pavlovich Aksyonov is a recognized classic and cult figure of Russian literature. His works are well known not only in Russia, but also abroad. Success came to Aksyonov back in the 1960s,-responding with brilliant prose on the most difficult and relevant topics, he remained the voice of his generation for more than a dozen years. Among the readers of Aksyonov’s works are the Moscow Saga trilogy, written in the early 1990s and filmed in 2004. The trilogy was compiled by the novels “Generation of Winter”, “War and Prison”, “Prison and Peace”. Their action covers perhaps the worst period in the Russian history of the twentieth century - from the beginning of the twenties to the beginning of the fifties. The Gradov family, three generations of Russian intellectuals, passes all the circles of hell of the Stalin era - the fight against Trotskyism, collectivization, camps, a war on fascism, post -war repressions.
