Abraham B. Jehoshua is one of the most read in Israel and beyond the authors. "Mr. Mani" is the most famous novel. It is an impressive family saga covering six generations of the Mani family and a huge space of events: from Greece and Poland of the XIX century to the dandectant British territory of Palestine and Crete occupied by the Nazis in the middle of the XX century, and then modern Israel. Having described the loop in time, this story saturated with dramatic events ends in Athens, in 1848.
