Museum: Architectural History. Surikova K.V.
The cultural scientist and museologist Ksenia Surikova explores the phenomenon of the muza through the prism of architecture and proposes to consider it in the broad context of cultural transformations that influenced the roles and functions of the museum in society. Consistently considering the features of the museum in various historical periods, the author shows how, depending on the strategies for the attitude to the past, the perception of the museum object and museum function changed, and therefore the typology of the museum building was built or destroyed. The book is addressed to architects, artists, culturalists, museologists, as well as representatives of city administrations and various civilian communities.
