Muslim apocrypha about Christ

The legend formed by the Gospels about the image and teachings of Jesus Christ throughout history became the property of not only Christian dogma, but it penetrated into other religious systems, in particular, in Islam. During the whole millennium (from the VIII to the XVIII century), Muslim writers and scientists have comprehended the most important elements of gospel legends in the vast space from Spain to China, giving them new, sometimes peculiar interpretations, agreeing with the Quranic teaching. Fragments of these works, collected in this anthology, allow you to get acquainted with the little-known tradition of the religious and cultural dialogue of two monotheistic religions.
