My post-Imago. Torin V.
The city hung in anticipation of a foggy flurry. The siren howls, all flights are canceled. There are less and less passers -by, shopkeepers closed early, even constellations were dismissed home. Durburd arrives in Gaben, the last train in front of a foggy squall. And he brings with him a terrible creature and a whole pile of secrets.
This is a very unusual cycle, and each book in it can be read as an independent work. Genre - steampunk and urban fantasy. Each work has features of its own suck: “And the light will go out” is a mystical thriller with horror elements, and “My post-Imago” is a Gothic detective with elements of a make-up artist.
Does Gaben look like "birds"? Yes and no. The universe is common, similar technologies and atmosphere, but, as one of my reader said: "If the Birds wrote, Gaben would have written in." What does it mean? A little less fabulousness, more gloomy.
