Myocarditis during the Pandemia SARS-COV-2. Blagova O.V., Kogan E.A.

The monograph is devoted to a new disease, which became known as Covid-19. The authors belong to the priority (at least in Russia) in the description of acute coronavirus myocarditis with the release of RNA of the virus from myocardial tissue made on the basis of analysis of autopsy material. The first chapters contain an analysis of the literature regarding the pathogenesis of heart damage with a new coronavirus infection, as well as a description of the first and subsequent cases of myocarditis at Covid-19 in foreign publications with a detailed presentation of their own studies of morphology and manifestations of this myocarditis. A separate chapter is devoted to issues of immune, inflammatory and autoimmune reactions.

All chapters of the monograph are written on the basis of its own clinical material supplemented by intravital morphological examination of the myocardium (endomyocardial biopsy).
