An ancient and medieval myths and parables in the presentation of Gustav Benjamin Schwab - a brilliant German writer and scientist appear before us with a magic kaleidoscope. In the XIX and beginning of the 20th century, his retelling of ancient traditions fascinated all the educated Europe; Reading his books was a favorite leisure in the family circle and an obligatory subject - in schools. Schwab was a real encyclopedist: he was vividly interested in folklore of the whole world.
