In time immemorial, when the world was not the same as now, on earth it was easy to meet giants, dwarfs and wizards. The son of the powerful King, the kiloch, easily wooed to the beauty of Olven, the daughter of a giant. The elves were invited to stay in their lands of ordinary mortals. Beasts and birds helped people who fell into trouble, and if they themselves overtook misfortune, Merlin’s sorcerer’s cave in a cave.
The gods also often descended to the ground from heaven. Among them were the gods of proud warlike tribes - the Celts and Germans, who settled almost throughout Europe. Writer Leonid Yakhnin helped young readers to understand the intricacies of the epic of these peoples, and the artist Igor Oleinikov, laureate of the International Prize G.Kh., created a little ironic images of celestials and heroes.
