Neon Bible. Tul D.
The life of a child or a teenager seen through the prism of the perception of a child or a teenager is one of the beloved by the American Yuzhan writers, which seemed to them, it would seem, along and across. But perhaps this life has never yet been so suffocating and claustently as in the novel Neon Bible, written by American literature, John Kennedy Tula at the age of 16. Swamp evaporations are one of those provincial holes that there was not and there is no account in the deep south. It seems that the time itself was tank here and fell asleep. Slowly, leisurely flare up in this sleepy silence, burning dangerous passions, small evil conflicts smolder. It seems that nothing happens: the provincial south knows how to hide for a long time behind the respectableness of the whitish facades and illuminated by the motley neon of church stained-glass windows, and hatred, perverted-painted desires and the bitterness of ruined hopes, and the dull longing of crippled destinies. But once someone, tired of silent, begins to act-and then events roll, as if a deadly stone collapsed from the mountain...
