The leadership reflects the achievements of domestic and world experience in the maintenance of newborns, patients with sepsis, including deeply and extremely prematurely. The history of the treatment of sepsis is described in detail. Much attention is paid to the definition of sepsis as a disease, risk factors for the development of early and late sepsis. The issues of etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and differential diagnosis of sepsis are considered. A special place is allocated to the modern treatment of this extremely serious condition and rehabilitation of children who have undergone sepsis, as well as the prevention of early and late nosanomical sepsis.
