Nervous diseases: Textbook. 4th edition of supplemented
The publication was carried out in strict accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of Secondary Professional Education, approved by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation on 05.25.2009 in the specialty "Medicine". The purpose of the textbook is to achieve students of secondary medical educational institutions of the necessary level of professional competence: knowledge and skills in therapeutic and diagnostic work with patients with diseases of the nervous system and in the prevention of the latter. The same applies to existing paramedics and persons providing assistance in the primary medical network for these diseases, including general practitioners. Particular attention is paid to the methods and algorithms for the provision of emergency care.
The textbook contains 24 chapters and the application “The most common emergency states in neurological practice”, as well as a terminological index and a list of recommended literature. Traditionally, it is divided into general and special parts. In addition, in accordance with the above standard, a mandatory for training and the variable areas are identified. The general part of the textbook presents anatomy and physiology of the nervous system, symptomatology and syndromology of nervous diseases, the main methods of patient research, methods and methods of rehabilitation and care. In a special part, in accordance with the provisions of the standard on professional modules, data on etiopathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnosis, course, prognosis, therapy of common neurological diseases, methods of rehabilitation of patients and the prevention of diseases are given. The modern international classification of diseases (10th revision) has been used, new drugs that have recently been included in neurological practice are given. A separate chapter on non -drug methods of treatment of neurological diseases has been preserved. Chapters regarding individual nervous diseases certainly contain the section of emergency care.
The textbook is intended for students of secondary medical educational institutions, paramedics working in neurology of outpatient and stationary institutions and in the system of emergency assistance, heading paramedic points or working in health posts. The textbook can also be used by doctors of the primary medical network.
