We present to your attention the book “New appointment” by Alexander Alfredovich Bek

The book of the famous Soviet prose writer Alexander Alfredovich Bek (1902-1972) includes two of his stories (“Kurako” and “Events of one night”) about the formation of domestic metallurgy, as well as the novel “New appointment” (1960-1964), in which the author recreates the image of the large leader of the Stalin era, mercilessly exposing the socio-moral roots of the administrative-command system.
