New Silk Road

This book is the first attempt in the world to record the practical implementation of the initiative of the “Economic Silk Road Belt”, nominated in the fall of 2013 by the Chinese leader Xi Jinping. The author’s long -term trust relations with prominent figures of Chinese diplomatic and scientific circles allowed to make 5 unique travels along the entire route during 2016 - from the starting point of the new Silk Road, the Lyanyungan port city, to the border gearbox Alashankou and Horgos, through which through which Railway and road routes lead to Kazakhstan, Russia and other countries of Eurasia. It is told about both achievements in the creation of a new Silk Road, as well as emerging problems. The description of the current state of infrastructure, industry and logistics is accompanied by brief stories about the history of certain places during the action of the Great Silk Road.
