The novel by Yuri Williamovich Kozlov “New Thief” tells about several days in the life of a federal minister, engaged in preparation for the All -Russian Inaugural Prayer. The habitual activity of the official violates the sudden appearance of the son of a long -dead friend of youth, after which the narrative relaxes and goes in parallel, revealing several hypostases of the protagonist. The work is filled with satirical allusions to the phenomena of modern Russian life and paradoxical conclusions from them to obviously. Stylistically and compositionally, the novel is written in a very benevolent manner in beautiful Russian. Published in November 2019 in Roman Gazeta, the novel was awarded the N. S. Leskov literary prize in the nomination "Fiction".
