Autumn 1941. Parts of the Wehrmacht are moving towards Moscow. Scattered Soviet units are trying to break out of the "boiler" outlined near Vyazma. Among the retreating are the remnants of the division, in which scouts under the command of Lieutenant Gleb Shubin serve. They are instructed to find out what road a German mechanized column that pursuing division will go. The reconnaissance group goes into the raid and soon discovers the cluster of enemy tanks. Shubin decides to delay the advance of the enemy. To do this, the fighters will have to temporarily become real tankers...
