The book presents the modern concept of postoperative pain relief of patients who have undergone planned and emergency surgical interventions based on the integrated use of neopioid analgesics and adjuvant drugs, the effectiveness of which is confirmed by evidence -based medicine.

The guidance contains a detailed characteristics of neopioid drugs, which can be components of multimodal analgesia with various surgical interventions. It is shown that the choice of the optimal anesthesia scheme should have procedures-specific, that is, based on the features of the course of postoperative pain after surgical intervention of a particular type. The choice of components of multimodal analgesia should be carried out depending on the trauma of the operation, the presence (or absence) in the structure of the pain syndrome of the neuropathic component, the expected duration of pain, etc. In the form of schemes, recommendations for postoperative anesthesia for several typical surgical interventions are presented.
