This publication is the second in a series of workbooks for an independent, extracurricular development of the course “Normal Physiology” and is devoted to the physiology of motor systems. The focus of this manual is aimed at the physiology of skeletal muscle tissues, while heart and smooth muscle tissue will be considered in other manuals. This topic is included in the mandatory program in the training of specialists in pedagogical, biological and medical universities. The textbook was created by the team of authors on the basis of many years of teaching experience at the Department of Physiology and the General Pathology of the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine and the Department of Physiology of Human and Animals of the Faculty of Biology of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosova.
