Normenger Abbey. Osten J.
Jane Osten (1775-1817)-an English writer, a forerunner of realism and the founder of the "family novel". Her books are conquered by tasteless sincerity, simplicity of the plot, the depth of the psychological portrait of heroes and the ironic “English” humor. In all colleges and Universities of Great Britain, its novels are required for study.
Osten was born in the family of a priest, where there were completely uncomplete morals. Having received almost no formal education, I read a lot and began to write at the age of fourteen. During the life of her books, they were published anonymously, on behalf of a certain “lady”. In addition to the numerous film adaptations of novels, and several feature films were shot about the life of the writer.
Katherine Morland - the main character of the Normenger Abbey, is a young girl who has read Gothic novels and living in her special, invented world, goes to a fashion resort. Acquaintance with Henry Tilney and the feeling that flashed to him help her to find out the real life and find herself.
