The book has a review of the region of Northern Europe in its historical and cultural integrity, the origins of the peoples inhabiting Norway, Sweden and Finland have been traced from prehistoric times. The relations of the inhabitants of the Island of the Gotland of the Vikings is considered, first with the Volga Bulgaria, and then with the state of the Ilmen Sloven and the Finno-Ugric tribes neighboring with them, the early history of the old Ladoga was affected.
