A scientist, constantly inclined to the game, a translator, carefully and gambling violates the boundaries of language registers, a poet, constantly changing and not wanting to stop in his transformations, Elena Mikhailik is a world full of strange, terrible and disturbing. This is the world-fantasmagoria of an exciting and painful fairy tale of wanderings and at the same time folklore expedition, the purpose of which is to study such terrible fairy tales, but which itself was in the process of wandering and, possibly, delusions.

Elena Mikhailik was born in Odessa, graduated from the philological faculty of OSU. Since 1993, he has been living in Sydney, teaches at the University of the New South Wales. Ph.D. Poems and articles were published in the Anthology “Liberated Ulysses”, magazines “Arion”, “Air”, “Children of the RA”, “New World”, “New Literary Review”. Andrei Bely award in the nomination “Humanitarian Studies” (2019) for a monograph on the work of Varlam Shalamov. The author of the three books of poems: “Neither dream nor cloud” (Argo Risk, 2008), “Expedition” (Literature without borders, 2019), “Fish said yes” (Cabinet scientist, 2021).
