“Notes of the Gallic War” by Guy Julia Caesar, perhaps the greatest book about the war in world literature. It was written in hot pursuit of events by the main character of that war, and in it the Caesar-writer equal-lickered Caesar-college and historical figure. This is a tragic epic of conquering a huge country and a frontal clash of civilizations. The book was written extremely simple and sensible, as if it was about the struggle of the Romans with a formidable epidemic. Therefore, the Caesarevs “Commentarii de Bello Gallico” can be read as a report on the legendary events of two thousand years ago, but it is possible as a kind of commentary on the later ups and downs of world history.
