“Notes from the underground” - another brilliant embodiment of the multifaceted talent F.M. Dostoevsky. This is a confession of the nameless St. Petersburg official and at the same time philosophical thoughts about the human essence, the nature of our desires and “desires”, about the ratio of mind and will. The writer for the first time in Russian literature formulated the foundations of the philosophy of existentialism and had a great influence on such authors of the twentieth century as Nietzsche, Kafka, Camus, Sartre and others. “I am proud that for the first time brought the real person of the Russian majority and first exposed his ugly and tragic side... I brought the tragedy underground, which is in suffering, in self -storage, in the consciousness of the best and in the impossibility of achieving it...” (F. Dostoevsky).
