“Notes of a young specialist” - a new book of the Autobiographical trilogy of Mark Kazarnovsky. In it, the hero is a specialist who has already graduated from the university, who, in distribution, appeared on the edge of the Earth, on the island of Sakhalin, who only recently completely became Soviet territory. At the end of the fifties of the last century, the most important city on the island-Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk-was small, mostly wooden, Japanese houses were still preserved there, but they were already actively replaced by the huts. And the broken roads turned, according to the author, into “directions”. But the hero of the book this island with impassable roads and unequilled life immediately lay on the heart.

The young Muscovite falls on the first serious work, where you certainly need to forget what you were taught. The author with humor describes various situations in which a young specialist finds himself. There are sea expeditions, research on taiga lakes, nights in the winter in the taiga and in the plague of Nivkhov. And in almost every line, sadness is heard about the departed, but such happy days.
