1972. The USSR and the United States are preparing to sign a strategic weapons restriction agreement. To do this, President Nixon arrives in Moscow on an official visit. However, not everyone in the world approves of the rapprochement of the two powers. The Soviet intelligence services receive a signal that on the eve of the meeting of the American side, a film with a fabricated recording of a conversation in the Soviet “tops” about the allegedly continuing unilateral tests of nuclear weapons will be secretly transmitted.
After that, the planned meeting of the first persons loses its meaning. The Don special forces group Vyacheslav Bogdanov is instructed to prevent provocation. Operators calculate one of the performers. But he tragically dies, having managed to inform unknown details, which fundamentally change the original plan of the special forces...
