The second edition of the leadership is devoted to the expansion of the necessary modern knowledge on clinical pharmacology as obstetrician-gynecologists. It is due, first of all, progressing changes in the rules for the appointment of certain drugs. On December 25, 2018, the President of the Russian Federation signed a decree on the mandatory of clinical recommendations as a document in accordance with which medicines in Russia should be prescribed. Awareness of the new stage of the possibility/impossibility of prescribing drugs, the fight against polypragmasia, the prescription of unnecessary or inconsistent drugs, especially pregnant women, the need to consult specialized specialists in the treatment of extractal diseases of pregnant women and participation in the consultations of clinical pharmacologists - an interdisciplinary approach to treatment from the perspective of evidence -based medicine - all this has become legal requirements for the practical activities of doctors. As in the first edition, this leadership reflects basic information about regulatory documents that allow/prohibiting the use of pharmacological drugs, outlines the procedure for the receipt of drugs and the procedure for their certification in the country, the characteristics of drugs used in obstetrics and gynecology are presented, reference information is presented that facilitates the rational choice of the drug, in accordance with the procedure for the provision of obstetric and gynecological care and clinical recommendations as the main document regulating the appointment of certain drugs. The publication, as before, is based on the only renewed source of instructions officially approved in the country for the medical use of drugs, namely the state register of drugs of the Russian Federation. The leadership continues the series of publications created in accordance with the Strategy for the Development of Medical Science in the Russian Federation until 2025 is intended for obstetrician-gynecologists, general practitioners, heads of medical institutions, residents, cadets of all forms of continuous medical education in the specialty “Obstetricism and Gynecology”, as well as senior students of medical universities.
