Odyssey. Homer

The personality of the legendary ancient Greek poet Homer is still a mystery, but it is he who is considered the author of the greatest monuments of world literature - the Iliad and the Odyssey - with the glory of the test of time. His poems had a huge impact on world literature, enriched the poetry with a canonical size - a hexameter, and gave food to historians of life and customs of that era.

Odyssey contains a story about the adventures of a mythical hero named Odysseus during his return to his homeland at the end of the Trojan War, as well as the adventures of his wife Penelope, who was waiting for her husband on Itak. The poem inspired many artists and sculptors to create their immortal masterpieces.
