The book that you are holding in your hands was published by the first edition in 1883, and since then it became known thanks to the illustrations of the outstanding French artist and the designer of children's books by Louis-Moris Beta de Monvel (1851-1913). And the songs and round dances that were included in this book were arranged by the famous French composer Charles Marle Vidor (1844-1937). The collection contains notes, original (French) texts of songs and their translations made by a brilliant children's poet and translator Mikhail Yasyov.
