Olzhas Suleimenov. Snegirev V.
Even in his student years, Olzhas Suleimenov is a Kazakh poet writing in Russian - like a steppe whirlwind, burst into Soviet literature, enriching it with new images and themes. He later became known as the author of the bold, albeit controversial ideas about the relationship between Rus' and the steppe, Russian and Turkic culture, and as a public figure who acted during the years of perestroika for the cessation of nuclear trials in Kazakhstan and became one of the most authoritative politicians of the young republic. About the life of Olzhas Omarovich, full of dramatic turns, creative achievements, communication with outstanding contemporaries, says his first biography written by the famous journalist Vladimir Snegirev.
