The memoirs of Alexander Ivanovich Verkhovsky (1886-1938) are a unique document of the era of Russian Troubles. The author is a personnel officer of the Russian Imperial Army, who supported the February revolution and became the military minister of the Provisional Government, and then the employee of the Red Army.
