Sergey Alekseev (1922-2008), editor, critic, writer.
The young years of the writer were held in Orenburg: he studied at the Flight School, worked as an instructor in the educational aviation regiment, and graduated from the historical faculty of the pedagogical institute. Later he worked in several publishing houses and magazines.
over forty years of work in literature, Alekseev created more than thirty books on the history of Russia for four centuries: from the middle of the XVI to the middle of the XX century. These books were translated into 50 languages of the peoples of the world and gained wide fame not only in our country, but also abroad.
