Open city. Cole T.

The novel “Open City” (2011) was a loud debut of Tedge Cole, an American writer of Nigerian origin. The book is in many ways paradoxical: the hero, a young psychiatrist, does not analyze his mental states, his frank stories about the past are fragmentary, there is no clear blank, and there are three finals, and all are open. At the same time, the book reflects relevant socio-political problems for the hero and the 21st century: immigration, multiculturalism, historical psychological injuries.
