Ordinary history. Goncharov I.A.

The novel “Ordinary History” was the first serious work of I. A. Goncharov. It describes the life and customs of the inhabitants of the Nobility of the Nighteous Association of the XIX century. The hero of the novel, Alexander Aduev, a dreamy and naive young man, changes under the influence of his rich and pragmatic uncle. From the rejected by a depressed unfortunate lover, Alexander turns into a calculating and not waiting for a person surprising from life.

The novel is published with an article by I. A. Goncharov “Better late than never” and with the application: a passage from the article and “Memories of I. A. Goncharov” G. N. Potanin.
