The end of the seventies. In a large Siberian city, one after another, brutal killings of four young women take place. The external signs of crimes are very similar: all the victims are connected by the same towels, everyone is killed by a heavy object on the head. The operatives, led by police captain Alexei Razin, suggest that this is clearly the work of the serial killer. For Soviet reality, the phenomenon is unheard of! All forces are thrown in search of a maniac. Detectives work without sleep and rest. But everything is in vain...
